GAIT ANALYSIS
Ekico Tendiboots
At Splash Paws we have always been committed to providing the best possible care for your dog since 2012. We are always looking for ways to improve our therapy options and gait analysis data collection, which is why we are excited to introduce ‘Tendiboots’ as a new addition to our existing Gait Analysis equipment. The Tendiboots ‘advanced sensors’ are designed to help us assess the biomechanics of your dog’s movement, giving us ‘dynamic’ analysis adding to the data of ‘static’ analysis with our Stance Analyser.
What are Tendiboots?
The Ekico Tendiboots are a specialised piece of equipment designed to monitor your dog’s limb movement during gait analysis.
The small lightweight sensors are applied to the lower part of the limbs, providing detailed feedback on how the limbs react when your dog is walking or trotting. Using the lightweight sensors on each limb, the sensors gather valuable data that is used to assess how your dog’s limbs are functioning and identify any issues such as an imbalance, abnormal movement patterns and weight distribution.
Rehabilitation
After injury or surgery, completing a Full Gait Assessment is essential to help our therapy team build the right rehabilitation plan and to help monitor recovery, ensuring that your dog is regaining full functionality in their limbs.
Sports Performance
For the active or athletic dogs, Tendiboots can be used to fine-tune performance, identifying any weaknesses in movement patterns that could lead to injury or reduce efficiency.
Improved Treatment Outcomes
By identifying imbalances and abnormalities in gait early on, we can intervene before more serious issues develop, promoting better long-term health for your dog.
Comfort and Ease
With a focus on comfort, at Splash Paws we have the latest version of the Tendiboots sensors, they allow your dog to move naturally while we capture essential data without causing stress or discomfort.
Why choose a Full Gait Assessment for your dog?
Collecting the information we need …
-
- The data collected by the Tendiboots sensors provides highly accurate, real-time feedback on your dog’s movement (Dynamic Analysis).
- The data collected from the Stance Analyser (Static Analysis) adds to the data collected during the dynamic assessment.
- Muscle measurements of each limb, help to identify areas of weakness, all part of the data collection.
- All this data allows us to make informed decisions about their care and treatment plan.
